A Word of Advice

Exodus 18:24 "Moses listened to his father-in-law's advice and followed his instructions."

In life we have mentors. People are put in our lives to help us on the journey we're on. Moses's father-in-law was one of his mentors. He instructed Moses to get help because he couldn't do it alone. Sometimes I have mentors too. My mom is a huge mentor to me. She helps me through the difficulties I face. In your life it could be a friend, an elder, or a grandparent who is your mentor. The key is to make sure their advice matches up with God's word. If it does, our job is to listen as Moses did.

Dear Lord, Thank you for the mentors You put in my life. Please, help me listen to their advice-their wise words of wisdom, and then put them into practice. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen.
