God Is Love, but He Is Also Just

February 11, 2011
Leviticus 10:1-2 "Aaron's sons Nadab and Abihu put coals of fire in their incense burners and sprinkled incense over them. In this way, they disobeyed the Lord by burning before him the wrong kind of fire, different than he had commanded. So fire blazed forth from the Lord's presence and burned them up, and they died before the Lord."

Wow! The Lord killed them because they used the wrong kind of fire, and by doing so, disobeyed Him. I think of the times I've disobeyed God and am amazed that He hasn't struck me down, because that is what I deserve. The same God Who was Nadab and Abihu's God is my God today!

Dear Lord,
You're the same God  now as You were then. Please, forgive me for my disrespect and disobedience to You. Help me show You the honor due Your Name, and help me not take it lightly. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
