Exodus 23:25-26 "You must serve only the Lord your God. If you do, I will bless you with food and water, and I will protect you from illness. There will be no miscarriages or infertility in your land, and I will give you long, full lives."
God simply wants us to love Him above all else. He wants a relationship with us. In Exodus 23, He promises good things to those who serve only Him, not idols. I think we often get the wrong idea about God. We think if we fully surrender to Him our lives will be miserable, but in reality, when we surrender fully to Him, it is there we will find freedom and peace. He will provide for us. We need to let go and trust God.
Dear Lord,
So often I fear losing my life if I surrender all my dreams to You, but, by me not surrendering them, I'm losing them and my life. I surrender my dreams to You today, laying them down to be able to serve You. Thank You for Your promise to provide for everything I need. I love You! In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen.
