Matthew 6:33 "Seek the kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need."
Today my devotional was on faith, and also on fearing the Lord. You could see the good consequences for obeying Him and the bad consequences for not obeying Him. Too often in my life I've spent my time not trusting God. Then I have to ask myself why I don't trust Him. When I think about it I see how irrational it is to not trust Him. He is God! He made everything, including me, my life, and my dreams, so I don't need to try to run my own life. I need to trust Him, seek His kingdom, and live righteously, realizing that when I do this, He's not going to leave me hanging; He's going to give me everything I need.
Dear Jesus,
I'm sorry for not trusting You with my life. You've given me everything I have, yet I hold it back from You sometimes. Please, help me start laying everything that matters to me in Your hands, trusting and believing that You are the One who can do the best possible thing with it. In Jesus' Name. I love You! Amen.
