Genesis 32:11 "O Lord, please rescue me from the hand of my brother Esau. I am afraid that he is coming to attack me, along with my wives and children."
How often this is our focus-Fear!!! "What might happen?" is the thought that runs through our mind. We stress and prepare for the worse. Funny thing is that normally our worst fears are just that; fears. Jacob had prepared gifts for Esau and had this whole plan in his head of what to do. When he met up with his brother, though, his brother was happy to see him. A lot of the time our fears are worse than what really happens. Like Jacob, we should take those fears to God and let Him handle them, trusting Him the whole time.
Dear Lord,
Thank You for letting me come before You just as I am. I lay my fears at Your feet and ask that Your perfect will is done. The result is in Your hands. I love You. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
