Has My Arm Lost its Power?

February 22, 2011
Numbers 11:23 "Then the Lord said to Moses, 'Has my arm lost its power? Now you will see whether or not my word comes true!'"

This is my favorite verse of the day. I love how God answers Moses's question with a question. Moses was asking God if they had all the fish in the sea, if that would be enough for the Israelites. God simply responds with, "Has my arm lost its power?" In my life I ask the same questions to God as Moses did. When I see an obstacle I ask God how He is going to do what He's promised. I start off my question with, "I know You're going to do this but..." then my questions appear... "Who are You sending to me? Where is he? When will we be together?" His response to me today is to not be a grumbler, to praise Him instead, and it is  "Has my arm lost its power? Now you will see whether or not my word comes true!" God is not limited by our obstacles or road blocks.

Dear God,
Thank You for reminding me that You still have everything under control. Your hand hasn't lost its power, and You haven't gone back on Your word. My obstacles don't interfere with Your power. Help me to trust You more and more, and please, forgive me for my doubting and complaining about what You've given me and where You've placed me. Help me be content and grateful in all circumstances. Have Your will unfold in my life today, and make me more like You. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
