Obey

1 Samuel 15:22-23 "But Samuel replied, 'What is more pleasing to the Lord: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams. Rebellion is as sinful as witchcraft, and stubbornness as bad as worshiping idols. So because you have rejected the command of the Lord, he has rejected you as king.'"

God desires our obedience. HE isn't looking for sacrifice as much as He is looking for obedience. When God tells us to move, we need to move. When He tells us to stay, we need to stay. Sometimes we disobey God because we can't see how else He's going to fix what's going on, but when God tells us to do something we don't need to know why or even how He's going to do it. We are called to obey.

Dear Lord,
When You tell me to do something, please help me obey. Even if I can't see the result, help me not be discouraged by it. Rather, help me trust You. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
