Run Back

April 4, 2011
1 Samuel 28:9 and 12 ""'Are you trying to get me killed?' the woman demanded. 'You know that Saul has outlawed all the mediums and all who consult the spirits of the dead. Why are you setting a trap for me?' When the woman saw Samuel she screamed, 'You've deceived me! You are Saul!'"

Saul had outlawed all mediums, yet he went and consulted a medium to bring back Samuel from the dead. Saul went against God, of course, but he also went against what he had already made up his mind to get rid of. Just like Saul, it is easy to fall back into things we hate simply due to losing our focus on God. We get scared or worn out and stop finding our strength in God and begin finding ourselves in places we never really wanted to be. If that's you, stop!, repent, and get your life back on track with God. When we mess up, we feel like running from God. We feel ashamed and unworthy of Him, but guess what... Even at our best we are unworthy of Him. Jesus makes us right with Him, not our actions, so run back to God. He is waiting for you!

Dear Lord,
Although I haven't consulted mediums, I've sinned against You as badly as Saul did. I'm in need of cleansing and forgiveness. make me pure again. Lord, when I mess up, my first reaction is to run from You, but I know that's just a trap from the enemy to keep me from You. Lord, I'm running back to You. Make me whole again. In Jesus' Name. I love You! Thank You! Amen.
